
This is the second time we have gone after the tuning for a review on the Toda D's. The Toda cams got way, way more tuning than the Skunk Type-2's, and they didn't come out on top on this particular motor. With way more compression, perhaps.. The Skunks made 4 more WHP and 4 more pounds of torque almost all over. And this motor was no slouch....it is All Motor, about 13.5:1 Compression, with a large bore size. With ITB's AND SMSP header......
There will be people who discredit this review, and say we don't know how to tune it, or the motor doesn't have enough compression, or whatever....But let me assure you, we used Hondata, a Wideband and tuned it for 2 days straight. With several experts there, and we made phone calls to people using Toda D's and People who tune toda D's to make sure nobody knew anything we didn't...and they didn't tell us anything we didn't already know...Tuning cams is easy with the Hondata...
This is SAE corrected numbers.....the motor is like the 2nd highest WHP street car in the world we know of.
Alot of sweat, work and effort went into this. Not to mention a $15,000 dollar motor that was used. Of course, it has IB designed Pistons in it.
